A day off | Denver Wedding Photographer | Denver Wedding Photographers

Since I work most weekends I have decided to take at least one week day off not working on photography just so I can actually get a break sometimes. I feel like breaks are SO important because it is SO easy to get burnt out.
So, for my break I went snowboarding! I have to admit, I’m not as enthusiastic about snowboarding as I used to be. I seriously had dreams about boarding always counting down the days til the lifts opened. But as I’ve gotten older I think I’ve become more timid with the adventurous side of myself. I think too marring someone who isn’t a big fan probably played into that factor. Anyway, I did have a good day at A-Basin and was SO thankful for some fresh pow. I’ve also decided A-Basin is my favorite area out of the Summit value ski areas.

Here are some photos from today, all iphone photos so don’t critique these please. 😉

Peonies in the Foundations {Hope in the Midst of a Dark Season | Emmy’s Personal Story with Chronic Illnesses}

The tulips didn’t bloom that year. It was the first year they hadn’t bloomed in the 3 years we had lived in our house. It was also the first year I started to get really sick.

.

That same year in literal crack of the foundation of our home and the rocks a new plant started to grow.

.

I knew this plant was a sign of hope from God.

.

God’s provisions aren’t always easy, nor are they simple, it almost always makes absolutely no sense, but it is always beautiful and good.

.

This has been absolutely true for our life today. Click to read more.
