Growing in My Garden

If you follow me on instagram at all then you may know that I’ve been a little obsessed with my garden lately. I think its because for the first time in my life I actually have a garden and it is thriving! The few things I’ve tried to grow before have died or been barely alive. Granted, some of the plants around our new house were already there when we bought the house but they are still alive. So, I’m very excited!
The thing I am the MOST excited about is all the flowers around our garden, and the fact that I can have FREE flower’s aromas sweetening our house every single day during the summer. Ek!

I am also excited for peonies to be growing. I think the plant is pretty young because only two flowers have produced but hoping more will come this summer!

Had to wash the lil buggies off. Ants love to crawl on these guys, but I don’t want them in my kitchen.flowers denver wedding photographer, denver photographer, colorado gardens

And…my blue berry plant…I need to get something to keep the birds from eating all the berries…suggestions?

Peonies in the Foundations {Hope in the Midst of a Dark Season | Emmy’s Personal Story with Chronic Illnesses}

The tulips didn’t bloom that year. It was the first year they hadn’t bloomed in the 3 years we had lived in our house. It was also the first year I started to get really sick.

.

That same year in literal crack of the foundation of our home and the rocks a new plant started to grow.

.

I knew this plant was a sign of hope from God.

.

God’s provisions aren’t always easy, nor are they simple, it almost always makes absolutely no sense, but it is always beautiful and good.
