Lumalia’s debut Memoir, Blooming Upside Down, is out now!

They say that there are roughly, 6,000 deaths each day and 115,000 weddings per day. (Well, at least that’s what I found on google..haha) It seems that while many of us are getting married a lot of others are loosing a life.
Weddings, like holidays can be such an emotional day because we cannot stop thinking about the people that we wish could have seen us walk down the aisle. I know for me it was my Grandpas and my cousin Heather. Josh, my husband, sadly never got to meet any of them, and well I am not sure if Heather would have like Josh right away…haha He’d probably have to grow on her, like he has for most of my family. But I know my grandpa’s would have loved him. Josh and my Grandpa Jim would have hit it off playing cards for sure!

As I photographed my last wedding I was inspired to share with you all a sweet idea of how to keep your loved lost ones close while you say your vows and begin a new life with the love of your life.

Here’s the idea: Find a photograph or small charm from the person you lost. Attach it to your flowers! And ta-da they are right there with you through it all!

Laura, the bride whom I got the idea from, had a picture of her cousin hooked into her flowers and charms from her Grandmother. It was so very sweet!! And well, I think this is a good idea to pass along. 🙂
