Hi Darlin’, I’m Lumalia, founder of Celebrate Again and a hard-core romantic. I believe your story is worthy of celebrating again and again. True story, Celebrate Again actually began for this purpose alone, to pause the years and cherish the sweet moments that make life worth living, celebrated and documented.

With 17 years under my belt as an experience maker from weddings, elopements, somatic journies, archtypal retreats, and I am here to help design not just a couple’s photography session but a gallery of photos that help you remember why you devoted so much of your life to this magical human you call partner/spouse.

Life’s given me a wild ride, and I’m so thankful I began as a wedding photographer, detoured into a wellness practitioner, published a memoir, and am now returning to my first love: celebrating love.

When you book a couples session with us, you get our insider knowledge of the best locations, but here’s a little sneak peek of the epic locations we’ve taken couples to in the past two decades since we’ve been photographers.

Your immersive celebration can begin with just you

Explore Blooming Caverns, Celebrate Again’s Women’s Retreat an immersive movement and photography experience for women.

You’ve had your anniversary, but maybe your partner isn’t the photography experience type, but you, you’re ready to get step into the magic and wonder of when sisterhood + nature collide, this women’s retreat is for you, beauty hunter.

How do you book?

Fill out our booking request below.

Once approved and a date scheduled with Lumalia or one of our couples photographers you’ll pay a $100 non-refundable retainer fee for your selected date and $300 service fee. These are NOT extra costs, just portions of the packages paid up front.

The total $400 will go towards your final booking package.

After your photo session your remaining balance will be due.

How Does Couples Photography Experience with Celebrate Again Work?

1. Book & suggest a date. Once we pick a date and have you booked, Lumalia will work with you to curate a unique couples photography experience by.
2. Help you decide on an activity you all love, so it feels like an epic date.
3. Give you location recommendations so you’ll be at a stunning spot at the ideal time of day for breathtaking photos.
4. During our time together, you’ll follow Lumalia’s signature couples’ connection guidance and find yourself wishing you could stay in this magic forever as she takes photos, creating memories that will last a lifetime.
5. After the session, you’ll get photos back in an online gallery within 4 weeks where you can share them with family and friends, download them to your devices, and order prints or an album.

We’re not confident that we can look as good as the couples in your portfolio in front of the camera.

YES!!! All of the couples on every page of our website are real, normal people, and most even asked us what to do with their hands! 😉

(Trust me, we’ve been asked if everyone here is a model. Nope. Normal, adorable humans loving each other.)

It’s our job to help you stay connected, having fun, and enjoying each other more than “posing” in some silly shape Instagram told you to try out. This is always reflected in the candid, authentic, and cinematic quality of all the photographs you see on our website.

Do you offer Engagement Photos, Proposals, Anniversaries, or help with Vow Renewals?

Yes! No matter if you’re looking for engagement photos, celebrating your anniversaries, or planning a vow renewal ceremony or even party, we’re available!

If you’d like help planning a vow renewal experience, mention that in your booking request, and we’ll create a package that includes our expertise in helping couples plan romantic experiences similar to our Oregon elopement photography.

We have nearly two decades of experience helping couples have an epic experience together, and we’d be honored to help you find where to go, connect with vendors, understand the permitting process, curate a guest or small guest timeline, and document this beautiful chapter in your story.

Do you offer couples Photography outside of Oregon?

Yes! I’ll gladly do couples photography anywhere in the world! We love anywhere in the Pacific Northwest, in Hawaii, in Denver, or anywhere you want to send me to find your landscape muse!

How many photos can I expect to receive from a 1-hour couples photo shoot?

We deliver at least 30 photos per hour, averaging about one photo every 2 minutes.

How do we pick a location or create a date?

Lumalia will work with you to find the ideal location and activity for your curated experience. You’ll then be given a few for you to choose from.

Some locations will require rental fees or permits for us to take photos, which will add to the cost of your packages.

If you have a specific location in mind, we can research taking photos there, but we will only take photos in locations where we can be legally.

Can we do this for an anniversary photo shoot?

Yes! If you want a more curated experience, like renewing your vows or a mini-elopement style session where I can help you curate a full day experience, make note of that on the form below, and we can make ALL your anniversary dreams come to life!

Do you offer Couples Boudoir Photography?

Yes! We can do a couple’s boudoir session. We can get as steamy as you desire. For couples who want to experience both, we recommend our two-hour experience.

How long does it take to get photos back?

You’ll receive five sneak peeks within one week, and your full gallery within four weeks (often sooner).

How are photos delivered?

Through a private online gallery with full-res + web-size downloads. Please download promptly, galleries are only live for a few months before they are archived.

How many outfits or outfits can I wear?

Usually, two per hour. However, if you have simple layers, we can play with more.

How much is a typical Portland couples photoshoot?

Our couples’ photo experiences begin at $1,000. Most of our couples, however, love treating their session as a curated date rather than simply “posing for photos,” and use it to celebrate a special season in their lives. On average, couples invest $1,500+ in their experience with us.

Do you have payment plans?

Yes, financing is available (4% interest rate through a partner).

Will you make me look skinny or make my cellulite go away?

As an artist and couples photographer, I will guide you through movements that help you feel good rather than forcing you into a shape deemed flattering by the patriarchal gaze that objectifies women.

My goal is to foster a movement of compassion towards our bodies and embrace their current shapes and textures without judgment, cellulite included. For this reason, I do not offer skin smoothing, wrinkle removals, or retouching.

However, if you have a random pimple, cut, or burn on that day, please let me know, and I’ll retouch those.
