He left the retreat he was leading. My teacher, whom I love and greatly respect, learned a great deal, grew significantly in his community, and probably thought that the rainbows he had been seeing had suddenly left the retreat he had invited us all to and was leading, without warning.
Safety in my body crumbled. The person whom I trusted was no longer holding the space. I was rightfully pissed off.
He was caught between two worlds: the one he was currently in and the new business he was launching, which involved interacting with fast-moving investors who required immediate responses. We all knew this, but it wasn’t communicated before we attended.
And that was honestly one of the BEST things to happen to me.

Hi beauty, I’m Lumalia, beauty hunter, memorist, wellness practitioner, photographer here at Celebrate Again. I’m on an unstoppable train to cultivate spaces where more humans remember their innate worth, magic, and connection. Years ago I was initiated through chronic illnesses back home into my body and awakened who I’d always been but had gotten lost inside a co-depenedent marriage, lost in motherhood and yes even in being a business owner. Thankfully, life had bigger plans for me, and I cannot wait to keep sharing my journey with you, as well as holding sacred spaces inside my membership and workshops to help you, too, step into a life that lights you up, yes, even when things get messy.
Taking Leaders off the Pedestals
After this retreat experience I had the opportunity to take someone I greatly respected off a pedestal and see that they’re a human being doing human things that sometimes negatively impact others.
However, it’s so easy for us, especially since most of us are trained from childhood to look up to a teacher, see them as experts, and disregard everything we know for the sake of following their wisdom.
Does anyone else feel so seen in that? Like, literally, my entire childhood was spent listening to my elders, obeying, and being a special (90s kid, lol), and don’t give up.
The last two served me well. However, the rest are still somewhat subpar. Yes, Yes, there is sweetness in not forgetting the people who came before us and honoring them, as we do with all humans, but obey now wants to make me hurl.
The greatest tactic of ALL humanity is to keep humans numbed out, thinking we’re living our lives when we’re really watching someone else live a life or serving someone else’s purpose, in fear states, and obedient to a power.
We see it DAILY when we turn on the news.
We see it when you open up your cute little social media apps.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m thankful for the above two things, but it’s time we, as humans, remember that we also have the power to choose how we show up in the world.
Which is why in all my free content you’re diving into here, I’ll always point you back to trusting YOURSELF more, remembering your intuition, remembering or discovering WHO you are. Knowing that is the best service I can ever do for you.
But I want to begin another conversation, one where you finally take a look at who or what you’re giving your power away to? Not to blame, not to point fingers, but to see where you can say instead that magic I see in that person, is really in me too.
But here’s the thing: it’s easy to stay in the dynamic of your whole life until you have a community around you that sees the true you, celebrates you, and is here for the fullness of you.
And this is precisely what I’m about to share with you, birthing inside Celebrate Again. A place where we get to grow, see, and celebrate together.
- No talk therapy needed
- No emotional baggage holding
- No sharing your whole life stories (unless you want lol)
- No more obedience in following a “right” journey.
Just you, being you, knowing life is a remembrance, a becoming, and a celebration wrapped into an adorable burrito.

Hang on to your pretty horses, we’re about to take off flying.
