Rediscover the Joy of Falling in Love This Valentine’s Day in Portland, Oregon or Online

Ready to rediscover the joy of falling in love, with a side of laughter and a dash of soulful couples connection experience?

Hey there, love adventurers,

Are you ready to step into something electrifying this Valentine’s with Lumalia, your guide to deeper connection? Forget the cliché chocolates and flowers; embark on a somatic movement meditation journey designed to bring you and your partner closer than ever. Ready to laugh, love, and connect on a whole new level?

What is a somatic movement meditation? It’s connecting mind and body with guided, gentle, and easy exercises that allow a shared connection on a deeper level than words can always hold. Our bodies are full of so much beautiful mystery that we, as humans, are barely beginning to understand. Often, these types of modalities are used in therapy, but I bring them to more profound healing beyond people battling with mental health issues. I bring this practice to prompt joy and play states; while healing is just a bonus that naturally happens we’re here to have fun and connect.

Which is why I’m here sharing with you these experiences that I cannot wait for you to dive into. They are gonna lite you up!

As Seen On

What’s on the Couples Connection Valentine’s Experience Playbill?

  • Guided Somatic Exploration: Dive into playful and profound connection exercises designed to deepen your bond and see each other in new, vibrant ways.
  • Shared Intimacy Playground: Experience the joy of moving together in a space where every gesture is an act of shared intimacy.
  • A Cozy Cocoon of Connection: Let down your guard and be together in a setting of joy, laughter, and serenity.

What to really expect?

  • Using the power of your intention
  • Witnessing and seeing each other in a way you may have never been able to before
  • Being fully present in your body
  • Sitting or standing in front of each other for the class in a powerful, deep connection that will feel joyful.
  • Discovering your bodies are full of pure magic and how to use them to connect more deeply than you may have before

What are the exercises we will be doing?

  • With me as your trained and certified guide, I’ll invite you into somatic (mind-body connection) experiences that help you dive into sensations and visuals your body and mind will generate. (It’s a bit like learning a new board game. It doesn’t make sense until you try it, but once you do, it will be so epic. The best part is you can learn it in 5 minutes, and it’s so accessible even children age five can do it!)
  • We’ll begin the class by connecting as a community, and I’ll share the practice with you. I’ll then guide you through specific exercises that invite you and your partner into play, depth, and profound connection. I’m your guide, but you are the driver. During class, you’ll hear me say the more permission you can give yourself to the experience, the more fun you’ll have; the journey is always yours to take. I’m just a guide.

FAQ

Can I come if my partner doesn’t want to?

Sadly no, for this workshop, but I recommend diving into my 30 day relationship challenge for something you can step into solo. Our membership has these types of classes available for individuals to watch today; we also host live classes and in-person classes often. Sign up on this page to get notified of our next classes.

What to Bring/Wear:

Our movement session will be seated, so please wear attire that allows comfortable upper-body movement. If you prefer to stand as a couple for our online class, feel free to come ready to stand, too!

Unlike yoga or other exercises, I will not always be prompting you into specific shapes or forms. However, I may share one exercise with very gentle, accessible movements that use your hands and torso. The movements will be guided by you most of the time, so if you have any different abilities, you can express yourself as you desire; again, I’m your guide.

Online Details:

  • Give yourself space to move and to face each other. Sometimes couples like to sit on the couch facing each other, in kitchen chairs, on the floor across from each other, or standing facing each other with the Laptop on a table or countertop.
  • Practice from an iPad or Laptop with secure wifi.
  • Please arrive on time for our gathering, as we will begin promptly to respect all attendees’ time. Those arriving more than 10 minutes late will not be admitted into the Zoom class and must watch the replay.
  • Having your video on is optional, but at least at the beginning, I recommend it.
  • Please remain muted throughout the class so others can hear Lumalia’s guidance.
  • Recordings will be available for the class if you cannot attend live. However, attending live is highly recommended so that you can ask questions and share experiences in the community gathered that evening.

In Person Details:

  • Arrive between  7:00 pm and 7:25 pm  as the doors will close at 7:30 pm
  • Come ready to move gently
  • Bring your own pillow or meditation seat
  • Email Lumalia if you have any disabilities she needs to be aware of for class, knowing that most of our movement will be with our arms/hands and upper body in very gentle movements, primarily by your choosing. (It will make sense when we get into the experience.)

Venue In Portland:

Nalu Kava Longue is a local tea lounge and gathering space. Tucked behind an outdoor entryway, you’ll enter through an alley-like entry and walk up the stairs to enter Nalu Kava. Save directions on Google Maps here.

Accessibility To Portland Location, Nalu Kava Tea Bar:

Nalu is a speakeasy-style Kava Bar hidden in a back alley. Follow the signs and ascend the stairs to our gathering area.

Unfortunately, Nalu is located up a flight of stairs without an elevator, so please plan accordingly—our sincerest apologies if this hinders anyone from attending.

Our Online class will, however, be accessible to anyone with a wifi connection.

Drinks in Portland:

Nalu will offer a limited drink menu, likely featuring Kava and loose-leaf tea (details to be confirmed). Food will not be available. If you have dietary requirements, you’re welcome to bring your snacks. We’ll be active from 7:35 pm to 9:00 pm, so plan your meals accordingly.

Post Class:

Replays will be available to all attendees, even those attending in person, to practice the workshop again.

For more in-depth experiences and support, reach out to Lumalia for her long-term couples connection experiences and recommendations for any 1:1 support.

Refund Policy:

No refunds will be provided due to the nature of this event. However, you can transfer your ticket to another person or use it for other Lumalia and Celebrate Again events. Tickets will be sold at the door if spaces are still available, which often are not. Check @celebrateagain Instagram stories for last-minute updates.

Right to Refuse Entry:

While our policy is to welcome all, anyone displaying behavior that disrupts the event’s safety or respect will be politely asked to leave. We prioritize the well-being of all attendees.

Hey, I’m Lumalia, the main voice behind Celebrate Again. I call myself a connection architect because I have a deep passion for guiding us all to fall back in love with life through states of beauty, but many of us are far from feeling at home in our own bodies, so we seek to find safety in others.

Yikes, that’s scary, I know; I did that for three decades, too, until I returned home to myself.

I’m so excited to share with you all I’ve learned and this beautiful journey back home to what makes you absolutely stunning just because you are alive today.
