I am so elated for Becca and David. The ways they both deeply love each other is just the most amazing picture of Christ’s love for the church that I’ve seen in a long time. I just cannot wait to see what God has in store for their marriage together. Needless to say, their wedding day was amazing, full of laughter, tears and much joy.
The day began with a lot of silliness, (good) nervous excitement, and tears of amazement at the beauty Becca reflected as a bride inside and out.
There was also a lot of Hot Rod references, which is so random, but this is that group of bridesmaids for you.
This is Becca and Leslie, her matron of honor, being silly jumping on a bed. This is such a perfect reenactment of their story together as best friends, growing up as little girls down the street sharing in numerous joys throughout the many stages of life.
I just absolutely love this one! I made all the girls wait to see Becca getting dressed because we wanted to do a reveal for them. This is Becca peaking out the door after she was dressed.
Love love their reaction to seeing her!
Love all these girls! I am so thankful to actually know most of them very well and capture their time with Becca on her wedding day.
I cannot remember who had the idea but since there was still nice leafs on the ground we decided this would be such a fun photo. 🙂
I couldn’t tell you what is happening in this photo of the groomsmen but it seems very characteristic of them all. Thanks to Britianie, my second shooter, for this one.
All the bridesmaids watching some hilarious video before the ceremony began.
Whenever you hear Becca talk about her relationship with her parents you just know she deeply loves and respects them. I was so thankful Britianie caught this precious moment right before the ceremony.
Becca and David decided to write letters to each other to read before the ceremony since they weren’t doing a first look. The photo on the left is Becca reading David’s letter. The coordinator had us all leave Becca alone so she could read this without any distractions, but there was a window! So, the videographer and I plastered ourselves against it to get this one.
The photo on the right is David as he saw Becca walk down the aisle. Mm, love the raw emotion and joy.
I love that their smiles show how excited they are to be walking up the aisle together! I honestly don’t think I’ve ever caught the faces of the bride and groom as they walk up to the alter but I am so glad I got their faces!
I love how this shows their very silly sides, in their expression of utter bliss that they are now officially married!
This moment was after the ceremony when they took a moment to themselves. I wish I would have gone back their with them but I was thankful I had Britianie to follow them and grab this one.
Doing ridiculous wedding party photos was only fitting for this group.
While planning for their wedding party photos I have to admit I had a freak out. Because it was already dark outside by the time we’d get to do them and there really isn’t great spots in Albuquerque with fun lights. But, I did have the idea to use sparklers some how. I knew that I wanted each person to be doing something with a sparkler but wasn’t sure what. I remembered praying specifically that God would just give me this most brilliant idea with the number of people we had. Then it hit me, have guys spell out David, the girls Becca, and the maid of honor and best man draw a heart around David and Becca. I counted the number of people and I had EXACTLY the right amount of people…luck, nope; God given and blessed.
I am so thankful Becca was willing to stand out in the cold in her dress! It was a chilly night but so thankful we were able to get these night shots with my new gear!
While back in the church for a few more photos of just Becca and David, I posed them in this way and David quitely said “oh, that’s nice.” hehe. I just love it, how much Becca’s presents and touch is so satisfying to him. I am totally the same way with my husband, Josh.
At the reception they had some very sweet moments dancing.
I almost didn’t include this but I just absolutely love how enthusiastic all the girls are.
And I cannot forget to mention how the flowers almost knocked down the chandelier. haha (Don’t worry, no damage was done.)
Congratulations to my sweet friends Becca and David! Love you both so dearly!
….Praying you get to move here. 😉
