After my final meeting with Alex and Cody a month before their wedding I just knew this was going to be a fun wedding to photograph. Mostly because Cody is such a goofball and adores making his bride laugh. And well, he sure does; in almost every moment of them together Alex is grinning ear to ear. I am sure their marriage will be full of much joy and much laughter.
As you can imagine their wedding day was no different from just one interaction with them. Cody wanted to be silly the whole time and Alex just laughed and laughed. <3
Alex and cody decided to do a first look in order to do all photos before the wedding and go straight from the ceremony to the reception. I love when couples are willing to do this. It takes SO much stress off the time line and allows time to relax during photos.
Right after the first look we did some portraits of them and it was mostly Cody being silly, but I adore them. 🙂

The girls praying over Alex…mm so beautiful! I think besides the exchange of vows, the first looks, and the first dances, this is one of my favorite moments during weddings.
I’ve always wanted to do this with a wedding party but haven’t had the time until this wedding.
While that was super fun my favorite part was how much Alex laughed at her own ridiculous face.
When taking the groomsmen photos Cody asked for this one, it turned out pretty great and just goes to show you how silly all these boys are.
I’m kinda against the boring stand in line and smile photos, though still do them for mom’s who want those traditional photos, but I love to take more fun wedding party photos.
We couldn’t get the ring bearer to smile or look at me for a while, of course, so Cody played along with him…he was chewing on a sweat tart..haha.
Seeing his bride for the first time! I love this because even though they saw each other before his expression is still so excited! 
The lighting during there ceremony couldn’t have been more perfect. Overcast with spots of glowing sun. Praise God for that! I love how she is literally glowing with joy! 😀
I LOVE when the sun peaks out around things… Ek! Love that this happened during their vows. God’s glory was very much present at this wedding ceremony. So beautiful!

After the ceremony Alex and Cody drove away in Cody’s jeep. I was able to get a few alone with them with his Jeep. (More tomorrow) I love this one…I also love as Cody picked Alex up to get her on the hood he called her his lady bug. <3
I love how her dad is holding up her dress while she is dancing with her new father-in-law, so cute!
