Elyssa and Matt choose a very gorgeous venue, the Wash Park Boat house, which completely fit their vintage style wedding since it was built in 1913. Every detail Elyssa and Matt choose just went so well together! Almost all of the decore was diy and just goes to show that you can have an absolutely beautiful wedding on a reasonable budget.
Some of my favorite touches were their colors, which were mint green, light blue and orange. These colors totally went so well with the pumpkins, arrows and wildflowers that surrounded their decore. Some neat ideas they had included a door with the seating chart, and the pumpkins as the table numbers.
I am not sure if someone made this box for them or if they bought it…maybe Elyssa could answer for us? But anyway such a cute idea for the ring-bearer to carry instead of those out-of-date satin pillows.
When I was asking Elyssa of all the details of her wedding day she mentioned that they would have a lot of pumpkins and arrows. That combination together got me so excited, so I told her that is such a cute idea! She then replied that she got the idea from the logo I design them for their invitation! haha …which if you missed the blog post about those it is here. I was excited to see the actual logo incorporated in the wedding favors and sign. 🙂
Oh I could not forget the fact that they had whoopie pies instead of cake!!! Genius! I love it, and they were DELICIOUS too. 😉 haha…
And of course they had chocolate and pumpkin whoopie pies made by Tee & Cakes.
Even the clothing choices were adorable! Elyssa wore teal polka-dot socks with boots, had a blue cufflink as her something blue, and then had a beautiful flower piece on her head.
Not to mention her stunning blue eyes!
Matt was wearing a very handsome brown suit, which if I was a seamstress I could tell you the fabric but I can’t haha. He was wearing this awesome old watch and and a teal bow tie. Love all the touches!
The flowers were all different but absolutely lovely. Here are few shots of Elyssa’s which my wonderful Husband took.
I wish we had had more time to get more shots of Elyssa because she was rocking the Opal everywhere, which is absolutely perfect for her style!
Ok and my ABSOLUTE favorite detail was their catering: Cheese Lousie Such a unique idea!! Grilled cheese for dinner where everyone went up and ordered their grilled cheese and soup. Perfect for the chilly rainy day the wedding ended up being. I was thankful Elyssa and Matt feed us vendors as well because MAN it was SOOO good! Defintely a recommended idea to steal for other brides…although fair warning that its probably not a good idea if you have over 100 people as each person does have to wait in line and wait on the food to be made.
Mmm..now I’m craving one of those grilled cheese and tomato soup! haha
More coming tomorrow!
We’d love to work with you as your Colorado elopement photographer and guide!
