Earlier this year I made a goal to meet and connect with other denver wedding vendors. Being a Denver wedding photographer it seems like most vendors will network with you because you are always able to offer them something later….free promotional photos. While I contacted a lot of places, I was moste excited that Jessica from A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals replied to my emails. I was so thrilled because if you see her rental items and wedding event design work you’d see that it completely fits my style and branding.
When I first meet her we both just sat down so excited to met each other. Turns out she had been following me on pinterest because of the wedding I did last year at D-Barn!
After meeting I am so excited to actually refer clients to A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals to rent items for shoots. I am hoping with this new connection with A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals will allow us to work together and share our styles with all the brides who love all things vintage. 🙂

Can you tell me what your business is and what it means to brides?
A Vintage Affair Events & Rentals is a vintage décor rental company specializing in unique décor for weddings and events-such as cake tables, couches, mason jars, pretty cake plates, and much much more. We also offer styling services for weddings, engagement, and family photo shoots. We have been so lucky to be published on stylmepretty.com, 100layercake.com, weddingchicks.com, greenweddingshoes.com, spakleandhay.com, landlockedbride.com, labellebride.com, milehighbride.com, couturecolorado.com, tuttobelloblog.com, and Rocky Mountain Bride magazine and their blog.
What is the most common mistakes most brides make in planning their wedding?
I would say the most common mistake is not having the look be cohesive. There is a million ideas on Pinterest, magazines and more. With so much inspiration at your fingertips, it can be hard to clarify your vision and have cohesive look and feel to your big day.
Is there one aspect of the actual wedding day that could go smoother? If so, how would you suggest changing the traditional format?
I would say one aspect that could go smoother is transitions. For example, cake cutting to dancing. Guests always want to know the sequence of events. One way to make this go smoother is to have a planner. She or he can help make everything seem more seamless.
What’s your best advice for brides working with a tight budget?
One of my best pieces of advice for brides on a budget would be finding an alternative or not well known venue. A lto of them don’t charge as much, thus leaving you room for flowers, photographer, and more. Colorado has a lot of unique venues. See my Colorado Wedding Pinterest Board here for ideas.
If you could give one piece of advice to every bride what would that be?
If I could give one piece of advice to every bride it would be that each bride has her own inherent wedding style, even if they don’t realize it yet. Thus, don’t just look to wedding blogs and wedding magazines for inspiration. Inspiration can come from anywhere in your life. For example, I look to fashion a lot for inspiration. Make sure to make it your own.
