Alea and Chris contacted me a month before their wedding, which is so rare in the wedding industry. But I feel like it was a reflection of their focus on their wedding day, that being their marriage together, nothing else. They adore each other and are seeking to be a reflection of service to each other, which was so obvious during their ceremony.
While Alea and Chris didn’t have crazy plans for their wedding day it was outdoors. Just an hour before the ceremony was to start it down poured. We were alla little stressed and I even suggested a crazy idea from a Gilmore Girls episode. You know the one where Luke pieces together tents so they could have a going away party for Roy…haha good ole Gilmore Girls. But it did stop raining just in time for the seats to be wiped clean and everything to start right on time.
Looking back now I can see how this rain could be seen more as a purification, a washing before their ceremony. How beautiful God provided this, even though stressful in the moment…what a beautiful picture of what we believe as Christians. That we need to be washed clean, and God is SO willing to do this and already has through Christ.
Anyway, I was so thankful to be a part of their beginning together as husband and wife. Here are some of my favorite moments from their day.
I loved how fitting the garden was for Alea’s bridal portraits, because her and Chris love gardening together so it was fun to have her walk through the garden and perfect for when it was pouring!
We’d love to work with you as your Colorado elopement photographer and guide!
