Lumalia’s debut memoir, Blooming Upside Down, is out now!

Evergreen Couple Photos | Colorado Anniversary Ideas

I absolutely love marriage anniversary celebrations, especially celebrated with photography out here in the Colorado mountains.

To be honest, these anniversary photos are actually from a few years ago before I took a break from my business, but I still love each and every one of the photos of these two. Also, fun side note: these two are actually my neighbors and good friends, Trevr and Marissa. Trevr is an amazing videographer who helped film my husbands short film (see a trailer here) and Marissa is a stylist who helped me stylize the Snowmobile Elopement I did back in December. (You can see that here)

When we were thinking about where to go, I knew we wanted mountain backgrounds and a fun new perspective. So like any true adventurer, we hopped in the car and headed to the Colorado mountains near Mount Evans.

During our shoot, I had Trevr and Marissa exchange love notes to each other, and in true form, they quickly ran back to the car and wrote notes very quickly together. We then went out to a beautiful spot and had them exchange the notes, reading them aloud to each other. It was so precious and beautiful to watch them reconnect throughout the photoshoot, but also verbally sharing these sweet things with each other.

As they approach 5 years together this year, I hope we’ll get out again to capture their love as it has grown and changed. I truly believe our marriages need to be documented just as much as our lives grow around having children or as life changes. Wouldn’t you agree?

Hey, I’m Lumalia, the main voice behind Celebrate Again. I call myself a connection architect because I have a deep passion for guiding us all to fall back in love with life through states of beauty, but many of us are far from feeling at home in our own bodies, so we seek to find safety in others.

Yikes, that’s scary, I know; I did that for three decades, too, until I returned home to myself.

I’m so excited to share with you all I’ve learned and this beautiful journey back home to what makes you absolutely stunning just because you are alive today.
