When I first meet Colette I was so excited with all the beautiful ideas she had planned for her wedding. She told me it would be at her Step-Mother’s private ranch in Sedalia, CO. She told me it was beautiful out there, but I don’t think that statement did this ranch justices. It is breathtaking. And to top the cherry on top we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful weather. Slight cloud cover but no rain or wind in sight. Praise God for that!
Colette was such a stunning bride! I have a bit of hair envy; it stayed perfect the whole day! Most brides loose some curl or get some fly-aways by the reception but her hair stayed stunning and her hair stylist wasn’t there the whole time fixing it. haha.
(The photo below was towards the end of the wedding while above was at the beginning. Hair still perfect.)
When Colette told me she wanted photos with her horse I was SOO stinking excited. He is an older guy so we just did photos next to him, but one day I’d love to get a bride in her dress riding a horse. How epic would that be?!
Colette had her Dad pull out his tractors for the wedding which made for great decor.
Having a wedding at a ranch made for some fabulous photos. Like having a red barn wedding photo…
A cute old chair next to a wood house.
A pretty place to hang your wedding dress for photos.
Lots of rustic wood for your photographer to photograph your wedding rings…
A charming meadow to take photos in…
Oh, and I cannot forget the ranch kittens; who were two weeks old…I seriously wanted to take one home with me to cuddle. haha.
And a great backdrop for a candid photo of your groom who didn’t want to take photos of just himself but you really wanted one of him. 😉
Yep, this was a stunning place for a wedding!
Some other notable details that just made this the perfect ranch, rustic chic style wedding was the fact that the bride’s father gave the groom a gun as a wedding present.
Colette is super creative and resourceful. She made all the girls flowers, let them pick out their matching dresses, which worked so well together, AND she got her stunning dress at a consignment shop! I’m impressed. 😉
The guys looked handsome in their outfits, all mismatching but I think went well together.
And one more of the ladies just being silly on the bed after they were all dressed.
And the last time I’ll use and in this post…two photos of the sweet couple…mmm. <3
Coming tomorrow are the amazingly sweet and hilarious moments that happend at this ranch rustic chic style wedding.
We’d love to work with you as your Colorado elopement photographer and guide!
