Before arriving to the Kelly and Kevin’s wedding I was honestly a little nervous. The venue for the ceremony was going to be a challenge to photograph well….BUT the utter joy and excitement both Kelly and Kevin had before the ceremony was so beautiful. I was immediately distracted my Kelly’s blissful smile and tears of joy as her mother, aunt and maid of honor helped her dress.
Then, came the first look. Their obvious affection for each other just melted my heart. I ADORE the way they interacted when “no-one” was around. I ESPECIALLY loved how they naturally put themselves in these adorable poses. If we didn’t have time for photos post-ceremony, these totally would have sufficed.

But, we did have time for photos with just them two! I was SO excited to go play in the Red Rocks with them! The hard part about wedding photos in Red Rocks is that you cannot really go any where. They have so many restrictions it really limits your options of getting out of direct sunlight and not in a high-traffic tourist area. Thankfully I had scooped out a few spots ahead of time to get great photos. Also, the cloud cover helped us a lot! Praise God for that!

During their ceremony I was so thankful to capture the great and joy they had and their families had over their marriage. I wish I had known more about Kelly’s relationship with her brothers, but I love that they obviously have a super close relationship.

More to come tomorrow!
We’d love to work with you as your Colorado elopement photographer and guide!
