It was such an honor to witness the union of the two sweetest souls around at this Colorado backyard wedding. While I didn’t get to know Chris as well as I’ve gotten to know Meagan (she made the most amazing nanny for us!) it is so evident in the way they love each other that they are going to be so strong because they are both such selfless servants. Meagan & Chris were married in Meagan’s aunt’s backyard, which has one of the most stunning views of the Boulder flatirons. Then to top the icing off her sweet father built, yes built, her a “church” outside. They were surrounded by so many people who just adored them both. If you have ever meet any of the Meagan’s family, as I have had the great pleasure of growin up with, you would know how infectious they all are. So its no surprise many people came to lavish their love on these two as they wed.
One of my favorite parts of their day was how Meagan did a first look with her dad, prayed with her family and took communion setting the stage for this day being a covenant making day not just between her and Chris but also between them and God.
I am so thankful to have known Meagan’s sweet family throughout my childhood and it was so sweet to be able to photograph her wedding day. A special thank you to Riana, Meagan’s matron of honor for being my cheerleader as a wedding photographer. I still wish I could have photographed Riana’s wedding too but I did have the blessing of photographing her engagement session.
So can we also talk about how gorgeous this family is! These two ladies are just beautiful girls! I just about died photographing them!
And sweet Meagan just made a stunning bride!
I am so thankful Meagan and Chris were willing to venture to Eldorado Canyon State Park to do more photos of them and their wedding party. While their backyard wedding was gorgeous it was also a cloudless day around noon, which equals no shade, harsh light and lots of peoples squinting. So to get to a cooler area with shade even though spotty was such a relief. Also, made for some lovely backdrops for their photos! I am also so thankful the ranger let us in despite my lack of permit for photos, ops. (Don’t worry we got a permit later.)
Also, the limo driver was a rock star for navigating in the canyon, which is hard in just a regular car.
Their wedding reception was at the Omni hotel in Broomfield and was a lovely end to the beautiful day. Their jar and wood decor was simply perfect. The speeches left many in tears and the dancing left you in a dream.
Meagan and Chris, thank you so much for giving me the great blessing of capturing your wedding day. It was such an honor to be there to photograph the beginning of your lives together! Meagan, thank you again for being such an amazing nanny for us. We cannot thank you enough for your servant heart in loving our daughter so well, for the laughter you filled our house with, and the labor you poured over it.
