The coming together of two different families and two different cultures was just the beginning of Melissa and Tim’s beautiful wedding day story. With Tim’s background in Catholicism and Melissa raised Navajo they decided to get married in Steamboat Springs with their immediate family by their sides. The yampa river hold a special place for them both and was the perfect place to have their Steamboat Springs, Colorado intimate wedding ceremony.
Their combination of creating their own story while incorporating their family’s heritages and traditions was absolutely beautiful. It was such a joy and honor to be a party of their day.
When I first talked to Melissa and Tim they shared with me that they’d been together for years but waited to get married because Tim is finishing up in the Army and Melissa was finishing school putting them in long distance relationship. They wanted to wait until Melissa finished school before they got married and as Tim beautiful put it he knew Melissa is capable of great things and didn’t want to hold her back. Their story together is so genuine and sweet and we were so honor to capture their beautiful Steamboat Springs intimate wedding day.
