Sprague Lake Wedding | Rocky Mountain National Park Elopement Photographers

The Story behind this Sprague Lake Wedding:

We caught a rare day in Rocky Mountain National Park outside of the beautiful Estes Park, Colorado. The clouds were scattered and no afternoon Colorado mountain thunderstorm threatened its booming echos; rather blue bird skies and beautiful warm mountain sunlight beamed across the sky illuminating the Rocky Mountain ranges into the most picturesque vision you could imagine.

Melanie & Samuel trekked all the way from Louisianan to come to Colorado and Rocky Mountain National Park to get eloped. I was so excited to photograph their elopement wedding day. We started our time out near an beautiful alpine Rocky Mountain Colorado lake. to begin our photography time Melanie and Samuel wore more causal photos to do more of an engagement type photograph which I thought was brilliant.

So many couples getting eloped in Colorado don’t get a chance to do engagement photos so this was a great idea to get both of each! Hint hint to other couples considering eloping in Colorado!

As the sun started to linger behind the marvelous Rocky Mountain peaks Melanie and Samuel slipped away and donned their Colorado elopement wedding attire. Melanie had the trees singing her beautiful bridal song as she made the trek through the Rocky Mountain alpine lake trail to meet her groom equality radiating joy. Their first look was so magical as the light flickered its evening luminance.

We decided to do their ceremony in a meadow area in Rocky Mountain National Park which was a beautiful idea. The sun had set behind the peaks creating their lovely alpine glow as Melanie and Samuel said their vows, exchanged their elopement wedding rings and celebrated being husband and wife!

We all got chewed alive by mosquitos in the field but the luscious tall grass enveloping Melanie and Samuel in flowers and greenery made it all worth it.
