In a big city like Denver figuring out what are the best Denver wedding venues, best Denver vintage wedding veues and where to get married in Denver can be a bit of a challenge. I know I’ve heard a lot of people say in planning a wedding they are busy every Saturday looking at venues, interviewing vendors and well their lives are consumed with wedding planning. So, in my goal to help couples plan their wedding by posting ideas and vendor interviews, I’ve decided to include a couple of posts about the best Denver wedding venues and where to get marred in the Denver area.
The last two weeks I’ve shared a post about the best Denver wedding venues I’ve photographed and some I’ve toured. But, today I want to featured just one venue, because I feel like it is absolutely fitting for brides looking for a venue with a lot of character that has splendid outdoor and indoor space with amazing views. Well, my sweet brides, and/or charming grooms, I believe Highlands Ranch Mansion may be just that.
Over the past month I’ve been thinking about a lot of venues and looking at them from a couple’s point of view as well as a photography point of view, and besides Cheeseman Park, I haven’t found a better venue. Not to mention Jaye, the event coordinator is a sweet-heart. I haven’t officially worked with her but we’ve been in touch over email about a few fun things coming up. But through the whole process she has been great.
Ok, now why I believe Highlands Ranch Mansion is a best Denver wedding venue and the place of where to get married in Denver.
When your guests first arrive they can come by carriage ride or be driven up this stunning entrance.
Then when you walk in you are greated by this lovely staircase. If you are a big fan of chandeliers like myself, you will find many charming fixtures throughout the whole venue. I just love how they have the place decorated with time period furniture that is very tasteful and does not look out of place or like you cannot actually use it.
Throughout the mansion are adorable rooms that each have their own character. The possibilities for this Denver wedding venue are pretty limitless.
And the upstairs bathroom…um, EVERY GIRLS DREAM come true!! This room is ENORMOUS! with plenty of mirrors and space to put that lovely dress on. 😉
Then of course there is the ballroom, that was probably an add on…though I’m not positive, but either way it fits with the rest of the mansion. From a photography perspective this ballroom is perfect. The natural lighting that streams through is amazing. Then with the touch of stone, wood floors and ceil you could possibly hang light things from is ideal!
Then of course there is the backyard where you could easily have an outdoor ceremony. Put this around sunset and you’d have gorgeous pictures. Perfect because the sun will set to the side of you and your guests. No one will be staring at the sun, but you will be at the right angle so that you will be beautifully lit. Mm…just astounding.
There are also beautiful balconies and just other stunning spaces, but I didn’t have time to get everything, but Highlands Ranch Mansion does have tours most days, so go take a tour if you find yourself down south.
If these views don’t do this venue justice as being the Best Denver wedding venue I’m not sure what will.
