Being a Colorado mountain wedding photographer never gets boring especially since there are a million absolutely stunning places to photograph the equally stunning couples here! I just cannot get enough of capturing God’s gorgeous creation!
Last weekend I went out with Katie and Ben to capture their engagement photos. We originally planned to go to Boulder and hike near the flatirons but the sun creeps behind the canyon so early in the day we had to find another spot. Thankfully I had two in mind because as I was driving to the first location the second had its gates closed, literally. But man did we definitely not need two locations because this Colorado mountain was so gorgeous!

he little spots we found were just blowing me away with how the light was slipping in between the trees. I just adore the sun kissed looked even in the dead of winter.
am so thankful that these to a typical coloradans and ok with hiking because we had to a hike a good while to get to the top of this hill to catch the last bit of sunlight. I am also realizing that I need to get myself back into shape because I was seriously out of breath, like asking them, “are guys ok? We can stop anytime.” While they were totally fine I was secretly huffing wanting to go take a nap haha…I’ll blame the stomach flu I had the week before for my true “weak” hiking abilities. 😉
As we walked back down the sun had said its final good bye’s behind the colorado mountains we played around in the last bit of light we had.
As if this location couldn’t get any better we played by the river a little bit too. Ben wanted to jump right in but it was probably a bit to chilly. 😉
Thank you Katie & Ben for letting me capture your beautiful love! I cannot wait for the wedding day!
