How to Plan Your Airbnb Wedding In Oregon
Whoo! You’re planning your wedding in Oregon, but first you need to figure out where to have this shindig. If you’re looking to actually host your party at your Airbnb or vacation rental you’ll first want to make sure your space is suitable for events.
For more tips on planning your Oregon elopement, check out our guide on how to elope in Oregon.
You may notice our list includes some that are and aren’t suitable for events. Why would we do that? Because we’ve got a little secret that could help you out if you love a property.

Using Other Platforms Besides Airbnb
While Airbnb is the most known and trusted vacation rental site there are actually SO many other platforms out there. The ones I personally use and trust include VRBO, and Vacasa.
Pro Tip: If you’re looking at Vacassa properties on Airbnb head to their website instead and you’ll most likely find a cheaper rate.

Leave A Thank You Gift
Just like many couples would with all your other wedding venues it can be an extremely kind jester to leave a thank you gift to your generous hosts. Notice they ran out of toilet paper or a candle in the bathroom, even something as silly or small like this could be a kind thing to do for your host.
Tips to Navigate This List
With each listing, we included why we picked it, if it’s pet friendly, the price range if its event approved, its location, what’s nearby including activities or places to see.
While prices may fluctuate in high seasons like summers (June – August) on the coast or November – January in the mountains we tried our best to set prices for you. Some places have other add ons like cleaning or service fees so keep that in mind when budgeting. We set our ranges as follows:
$= $50 – $250
$$ = $250-$400
$$$ = $401-$1000
$$$$ = $1000

Airbnb & Vrbos Near Cannon Beach and Northern Oregon Coast
Why we loved it: Why not stay at your very own custom home designed by a Portland based architect Hans Kretschmer of Green Gables for a few nights! The living room is super amazing and perfect for gatherings around a cozy fire. Along with the double patio sliding doors making the outside and interior merge, this home is absolutely stunning. The endless windows give you a perfect view of the ocean front that will make you want to cozy up by the fireplace and enjoy the sunset every night evening if it’s too cool to be outside. We also need to talk about this kitchen, its crazy epic. A chef’s dream comes true in the kitchen. You’ll not miss a single appliance in this rental home and may even find yourself needing to add to your own after being so fitted in this home. If the interior doesn’t sell you head out to the patio to view the ocean with no other houses obstructing your views and grill up on the snazzy grill. Then take your own private walkway down to the beach. Cozy up in bed with your own private fireplace in the master bedroom.

But this property is open to having your wedding here. We love that they even have a gazebo and chairs if you choose to have your ceremony here too! We love all the fireplaces and spacious kitchen, perfect for a small catering crew! We also love that it used to be a school house in the 1920s. We also love that it’s outside of a tsunami zone which is still an everyday threat for anyone visiting the west coast. Why we loved it: The location of this home on the edge of Neskowin is absolutely breath taking. Also, it has a hot tub with ocean views so we’ll just leave it there. But, of course we have to mention the interior with a very cozy living room, enough seating for all your crew surrounded by a fire place and flatscreen TV. This kitchen updated with modern appliances, double dishwasher, two fridges, wine fridge and 6 burner range will have you entertainment ready for the guest size this home hosts! This section includes homes that range from Florence to the most southern part of Oregon.
Why we loved it: We love the outdoor space that sits on the water’s edge. Although it’s not the oceanfront, it is on Charleston Harbor and the South Slough. While the ocean is stunning, lakes offer a retreat without the ocean winds and blowing sand. This home gives you both worlds sitting on the lake’s edge. Not only is the outdoor space amazing, the interiors are well designed and modern. We love the updated kitchen and bathrooms and clean spaces. While events are not allowed here, this stay made this list because they allow pets and could be a perfect place for a small crew.

Recommended Activities: Explore Cape Argo and the surrounding beaches, rent or take a guided tour to paddle board or kayak in the lake, go on a crabbing tour, bbq when you get home, hiking, fishing. If you’re vegan, we cannot rave enough about The Tin Thistle, their whole menu is vegan and they use clean ingredients if they have other allergies too!
Why we loved it: This modern home has killer lake Tenmile views, stylish decor and is a true steal for its luxury. We love the outdoor setting areas. Not to mention the fun coffee bar in the well equipped kitchen. We love the outdoor grill and fireplace. You’ll feel like you’ve escaped to a 5 star hotel with the privacy and amenities a homestay has. While not event friendly, we loved this VRBO because it has such amazing style and is perfect for a small crew just looking to chill while having their celebrations elsewhere. We also have to mention that this place has extremely high ratings which is also a plus! You can spend some time driving to different attractions, but with how decked out this place is, you may not want to leave the home at all.

Recommended Activities: Zip lining, ATV riding on sand dunes, beach combing, fishing, sailing. Rent a boat from Ringo’s Lakeside Marina if you want to enjoy Tenmile Lake. Or head over to Salmon Harbor Marina for some fishing!
Why we loved it: Having personally stayed in this home before, I have to say I’m pretty biased. The patio deck and garden of this home are absolutely magical. When the sun peeks over the front of the home in the late morning, illuminating the patio deck, you’ll never want to leave. If the deck isn’t your thing, head down to the garden and enjoy all the birds singing. At night, hear the local amphibians croaking through the night near the pond. This home is a movie lover’s dream with multiple large screen tvs throughout the home. Just a short walk to the beach, it’s a fun spot to explore. However, if you want to really soak up the beach, I recommend heading down to explore the Cape Arago area instead. The dining room fireplace was a wonderful way to warm up after some time on the chilly coast. We also loved that this home was pup friendly! One thing I would like to mention is there isn’t a dishwasher, so if you’re planning to cook a lot, be prepared for hand washing every dish. We don’t have one in our home anyway, so we’re pretty used to it. We also love that this home can hold a lot of people. Though keep in mind, there are only 3 bedrooms so everyone would need to be okay with bunking up!

Recommended Activities: ATV the Oregon Sand Dunes with Spinrell rentals our guided tours, or Dun Bug ATV rentals, Visit the sandy beaches at Ziolkouski Beach park, Umpqua Lighthouse, William M Tugman State Park for some lakeside fun or explore downtown Coos Bay. Our favorite dining options were The Tin Thistle for their vegan fare and Front Street Provisioners for their awesome pizza with gluten free and vegan options (although they get VERY busy at times and with their oven being a one man show, it can result in waiting up to an hour for your food–be patient, it’s worth it!). There is also a killer thrift store, South Coast Hospice Thrift Store, which you should totally check out for inexpensive hidden gems.
If you want to check out southern Oregon make sure you check out this Samuel H. Boardman State Park elopement!

Airbnb Wedding Venues Oregon Wine Country Estate
Why we loved it: This listing does not do itself justice in that this home is within walking distance to over 15 wineries. Seated in the heart of Yamhill County, this area is known for its wineries, located just outside of the Portland area. Not only is this home right in Oregon wine country, it has a very well decorated home with lovely touches and a homey feel. We love the custom dining room table that is perfect for stylish dinner parties. We love the patio furniture on the outside patios and updated bathrooms.

Events Allowed: No, but dinner parties are, so it’s worth asking if you have a respectful small crew just enjoying a meal after your ceremony. Do keep in mind some of the vineyards do allow events so it’s easy to have your wedding at one of the wineries, then use this place as your homebase! I have some close by listings below or under the “Wineries in Oregon Wine Country” heading that host weddings.

Airbnb & VRBO Wedding Venues In Portland, Oregon
Sadly, there aren’t many event approved stays in Portland, but it is always an option to contact the host to ask for special permission! Some alternatives would be to book your stay with your family and friends, then book a venue like Tendue for the actual reception. This particular venue can hold up to 16 people seated or 30 person cocktail parties and is super affordable!
Pro Tip: We help couples figure out where to have their wedding. Many of our couples come to Oregon for the stunning scenery, so ceremonies take place outside in public spaces. We help couples navigate all the rules and regulations for having their outdoor wedding! We also love to have some back up locations. Our couples love to have catered receptions in private rooms, hotels, or keep things casual with a romantic picnic on the beach! Contact us to get your free elopement wedding consult!
Why we loved it: An adorable home with modern furniture and a little bit of the famous Portland quirkiness, this home is an absolute gem for being one of the few homes in the city that actually allows small events. We love that there are two kitchens which is great if you have a large group staying with you and maybe need to organize different meals for different activities. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, it really is an ideal house for different households coming to celebrate! While the deck is small, it is also lovely and the multiple living spaces are a perfect emergency plan in case the Portland rainy weather turns on you for any outdoor plans.

We also love that bikes are included to put on your local looking at and explore Portland like a true Portlandia, via bike. We love the outdoor space and really all the of the spaces in this home. Why we loved it: The interior of this home has a modern charm to it that caught our eye immediately. While that may fool you, this home was built in 1911 in historic Portland. We love that it’s 5 minutes from downtown and the famous Alberta Art district.

Why we loved it: It had wonderful reviews, the feel of the home feels like a luxury glamour-loving stay. It’s a small stay at only 450 sq. ft, but is so well decorated you’ll hardly notice. The kitchen is modern with new appliances. The bedroom is lavish with four-post curtains. This home also had 5-star reviews from over 27 people. We also love that it’s in the heart of a cute downtown area and riverfront. This is such a cute getaway for just a couple, maybe a staycation honeymoon after your wedding or even for your private elopement.

Why we loved it: The dome shape of this home already has us sold. But then you step inside and head into another world with the bright interiors, natural sunlight spilling in from the geometric windows, and creative use of a circular home space making the living areas blend together while still being kept cleverly separate. The master bathroom includes a jet tub which is always a plus. The geometric windows continue in the bedrooms which are crazy cool. We love the patio spaces outside the main living areas. Then stepping outside we love the outdoor shower, perfect to rinse off after a long day at the beach. A short walk to the beach you cannot not want to stay here. Then let’s talk about the 50+ 5 star reviews. This home books out quickly and is an absolute steal for its price so plan ahead!

Recommended Activities: Surfing, watersports, beach play, exploring Depoe Bay, Oregon Coast Aquarium, Otter Crest Beach, hiking, exploring, sightseeing, star gazing
Why we loved it: Near the river this home is already set up for a unique experience. Then you step inside and your jaw will probably drop at the amazing craftsmanship of this home. The 800 year old Juniper tree spiral staircase will make you feel like you stepped into a fairy tale or Lord of the Rings. The living space is open with a fully equipped kitchen. As you head into the bedrooms you’ll find a suspended bed in the guest master bedroom with victorian style red couch. If you’re feeling left out, head to the second bedroom with another hanging bed nestled under skylights and instead of a queen you’ll be in a king size bed as you star gaze your night away. In the room you’ll also find the tip of Juniper log as decor. Head up over a catwalk and you’ll find an indoor sauna to warm you up after exploring. Keep in mind Coos Bay is about a 50 minute drive in town so come well equipped for your stay! Outside are two stone patios with a raised fire pit, seating and a hammock right along the creek. This oasis is only an hour from all the joys of Coos Bay but you may not want to leave.

Why we loved it: Well, first off, it’s a castle which makes it pretty awesome! Secondly, it has a hot tub, so I mean, what else do you need from a rental? We love the deck it has out back that makes you feel like you went off to the forest when actually you’re still in Portland–amazing if you want to explore a lot of the city too. The living room pool table is a bit odd but also super fun. The kitchen is a chef’s dream. So if you love cooking for your crew, this kitchen has it all. It seems the decor is a bit quirky which fits in perfectly for this being a Portland home. Our only reservation on this home is it only has a few reviews but both are great! But it was too cool to not include.

Why we loved it: If you ever wanted to stay in a german style cottage castle this is your chance! We love all the details of this house and the beautiful land it’s on. Inside you’ll find the spiral staircase, a movie room with cozy chairs, a pool table and wet bar. The rooms are cozy but nothing to crazy fancy. This house is a great journey into a different type of place to stay.

Why we loved it: If you truly want to experience luxury, and seclusion, and feel like you stepped into the hills of Italy then this Oregon Airbnb Wedding venue is it. Location: Rosenburg in Southern Oregon
Recommended Activities: Shopping, dinning, golfing, wine tasting, hiking, waterfalls
Why we loved it: We cannot get over the shape of this cabin, or “chalet,” as the host calls it. Not to mention, it has its own access to the Oregon forest and is near Tenmile lake with car access. Before you step inside, you’ll see a hot tub, patio seating, fire pit area and grill ready for all your outdoor chilling. Two bedrooms downstairs will leave you well rested. The kitchen and dining area are small but absolutely well set up and very stylish with all the modern appliances (however, no dishwasher, hand wash only, so keep that in mind). We love the upstairs access via ladder that lets you cozy up to watch a movie at night. We love the full windows bringing light into much of the home. This home has a killer 5 star rating and 41 reviews so you know you cannot go wrong here! Are you ready to pack your bags? We are!

I have been to Oregon a few times but never for a wedding. These locations are so stunning! I hope to use Airbnb more when I come back to visit. I’ll definitely be referring back to your guide! Thank you so much!
These are all such stunning locations for weddings! I love how unique they all are to one another, and I really like the ones that are surrounded by nature!
While I don’t plan on getting married anytime soon, these places are still stunning to look at. I hadn’t really considered Oregon in the future but I’ll have to now!
