I am so excited to present you all with a guest blog post from The Bridal Collection, one of my favorite bridal shops here in the Denver, Colorado area. I’ve loved working with them in previous weddings and stylized shoots. Today they are sharing with you all what to expect at your wedding dress shopping appointment! I hope you enjoy this and feel free to share away with your friends planning their wedding dress appointment(s).

What to Expect at Your Wedding Dress Shopping Appointment
To be asked about your style preferences and budget
By asking about your style and budget, bridal stylists can guide you towards dresses that you match your vision for the day without breaking the bank. Discussing style and budget will also help you make the most of your time. Don’t worry if you don’t have a specific style in mind – bridal consultants are experts at recommending dresses based on your body type, venue and vibe.
To have fun!
Shopping for a wedding gown should be a joyful experience – not only is it a chance to celebrate your upcoming nuptials, it also allows you to spend time with those who matter most to you. It also helps that you get to try on beautiful dresses that are designed to make you look and feel beautiful.
To be emotional
Even if you aren’t normally an emotional person, seeing yourself as a bride for the first time as your besties look on can be overwhelming. In addition, you may be physically tired if you’ve scheduled multiple appointments or haven’t slept well the night before. We recommend only scheduling 1 -2 appointment per day.
To sign a contract
Bridal gowns are special garments that typically take four to six months to produce and are a big expense; therefore, most bridal shops will ask you to sign a contract that outlines your responsilibies along with the shop’s responsibilities. You will also be asked to put down a deposit to order the dress.
