When I first meet Courtney & Kirby I knew they were going to be so much fun to work with. Courtney is so adorable and fun loving and Kirby is calm, quite and genuinely happy, but most importantly these two are crazy about each other- which of course makes my job so much fun! They moved together to Denver not knowing anyone and starting new with nothing. I love how it seems that transition really bonded them well and how much they are in love with this city. So it was very fitting that we took pictures at Union Station and in LoDo near Commons Park. I hadn’t been inside Union Station before but man is it gorgeous, good job Denver on hiring amazingly talented architects and interior designers! *Insert applause here*
Before leaving for their shoot I almost called them because it was freezing outside and windy, which some girls really hate because well it is annoying when you have unruly hair to have the wind blowing for your engagement photos. Thankfully they were both as excited as I was about the “bad” weather.
Before every session I pray God would show us His glory, His greatness and majesty, and well He sure did! Within a span of our two hour session we saw some amazing golden light glistening through the clouds, a light snow flurry dusting these two cuddle bugs, and gorgeous design inside the new Union Station. Praise Him for providing such amazing things through people and in the weather!

I am pretty sure I was jumping up and down when it started to snow. I was so excited that Courtney and Kirby were willing to stay out in it!I am so thankful my clients play along with my crazy ideas…like this one of a trust fall, for all three of us. haha. Ok, if you have been inside the new Union Station yet, you need to go, it is so cozy and pretty inside! Makes me wish train travel wasn’t so expensive!As we were prancing around taking photos a security gaurd approached me and told me that we weren’t allowed to photograph on the second level, use flash or move furninture…all of which I had already done. Ops. Sooo…Courtney & Kirby are going to have photos in Union Station unlike anyone else because of these rules I didn’t know…I am so in love with the lighting here! Ek! P.s.
