Some days its like living in a dream that this really is my job, to capture life, to document the joys of relationships and in breath taking locations like this Colorado mountain family photography session taken near Breckenridge, Colorado.
I cannot believe its been three years since I photographed Brie & Tyler’s wedding in Telluride, Colorado! And this past month I was so honored when they asked me to photograph their sweet growing family soon to be five!
Their love for beautiful mountain location sits in line with my heart so it was no surprise they were more than willing to drive two hours after a flight cross the country with their two little ones and one on the way to take photos out in this beautiful alpine lake near Breckenridge, Colorado.
I have to admit these alpine locations are not ideal for little ones, the winds were blustery and the sun hadn’t been up long enough to warm anything much, so needless to say it wasn’t pleasant to be in, but man these two girls were troupers. They loved exploring and “climbing” the mountains.
Brie and Tyler, thank you so much for letting me document your sweet family, for the joy of seeing your lives and love deepen in each other and into the hearts of your adorable girls.

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge city person but I do have to say that downtown Denver has some really neat parks, so I am thankful when Alyssa contacted me about photographing their family in downtown she suggested a park that had all the beautiful things about Colorado in it: warm sunshine, vibrant colors and the Platte river running through the heart of downtown.
A family of seven, you couldn’t ask for more love a fun! Such was the case photographing the Schulz family! They were all so willing to play and enjoy the fun games I had planned for their Denver Colorado lifestyle family photo session to welcome their new youngest brother into the world.
Most people think you need to do photos some place particular but when you look back in your life, the moments you’ll want to remember are the common ones at home.
.
This is why I have a special place in my heart for home sessions.
