For the past year and half my husband and I have had the great pleasure of knowing this sweet family. They are the kind of people that make you feel like you’re the only person in the room. Their love and lavish care for others is inspiring. This little family knows how to do community so well and we have been beyond blessed by them this past year and half. We are sad to say they are leaving us to return to their hometown in TN to continue working for Cru in their alma mater. While we are so excited for them to be near to family again and back where their hearts have been longing to be we are going to miss them terribly!
I was so blessed to be able to photograph them before the moved and man knowing a family I am photographing makes it so much more fun! It was very fitting we took photos at Ruby Hill park since this was close to their old home here in Denver and has beautiful city and mountain views.
Due to the freezing air and poor Malaciah shivering we ended up being able to take a few in their home. I think these ones are my favorite because it captivates the memories I have of them sitting around their living room or dining table talking deeply about life and faith. I love how this truly just captures a typical meal time with little Cai bear. I think if I were to get more into families I would want session to be more like this: capturing your real life messiness and all.
Thanks McLaughlin’s for letting me capture you. You guys have been beyond a blessing to my family and I know many more. You will be greatly missed but we are all so excited to see and hear the amazing work you will be doing for the Lord’s kingdom in TN. Love you all!
