Last weekend my husband was down in NM opening for an old friend and I had the weekend off. Instead of being a home body and staying home alone all weekend I had a few adventures. Both were cut short due to the thunder storms we’ve been having in Denver, but I’m not complaining one bit. 😉
Saturday’s adventure took me to Bear Creek Lake to swim in the soda lakes there. When the thunder started to roll in we all decided it’d be better to not swim just in case lighting came in quickly, so we played on the beach instead.
I have to be honest, the moment the football cam out I was like, ok I’m done. haha I’m really not a traditional american girl in that I truly could care less about most secular sports. I prefer activities that require as little hand-eye-coordination as possible. Mostly because I’m that person who’s let the ball hit my face instead of catching it, haha. I know…its bad. Ask me to rock climb with you I’m down, but ask me to play football I’ll just watch.
So instead of playing I grabbed my camera out and snapped a few shots of everyone hanging out. 🙂
Just meet this lady on this adventure, she’s super sweet, we instantly bonded over sunscreen. 😉
These two are adorable. <3 (Of course being a wedding photographer I’m going to take an obnoxious amount of photos of the couple…haha.)
I love this girl, so glad she is in Denver with me!
Rocking the “surfing” clothes…don’t let them fool you, I’m not the worlds greatest swimmer but I do love water.
We had to cut the day pretty sure due to this. But it was so much fun to run in, and admire. Mmm, thunderstorms.
